Ultherapy Cheapest Price? Why It May Cost More
Ultherapy Cheapest Price? Why It May Cost More
Ultherapy Cheapest Price? Why It May Cost More
Ultherapy prices vary wildly—shots, energy & provider skill explain why. Don't pay more for less.
Are you only looking for the lowest Ultherapy price?
Why that can actually cost you more
The weather has been changing from day to day lately,
and even so, as spring has arrived,
inquiries about lifting procedures have increased sharply.
Among them, there is one question
I get most often.
"Why is the price for Ultherapy 600 shots
so different from place to place?"
Some are priced at ₩300,000, and some at ₩2,000,000.
Today I’ll break down the real reason
why there’s such a difference even with the same 600 shots.
💡 Key takeaways from today’s post
Q. Ultherapy 600 shots,
why is the price so different at each clinic?
A. Because the shot count, energy settings, and practitioner qualifications
are all different.
Q. If I get cheap Ultherapy,
will it still work?
A. If the energy is insufficient or the shots are inaccurate,
there is almost no effect.
Q. Then is there a reasonable
standard price for Ultherapy?
A. You should first check the total energy and the practitioner,
rather than the number of shots.
I’ll cover the details in the main text.
Let’s start by explaining
what Ultherapy is

Ultherapy is a procedure that uses high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)
to create thermal coagulation points
in the deep layer of the skin (the SMAS layer).
In simple terms, it’s not a laser.
Ultrasound energy passes through the skin surface
and directly stimulates the fascia layer
beneath the dermis.
This mechanism has also been confirmed in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD),
and
the key is that the energy must reach the correct depth
for a collagen regeneration response to occur.
This "precise depth" later becomes the key term
when explaining price differences.
If it’s 600 shots, why does the price
range from ₩300,000 to ₩2,000,000?
Why does this happen?
What makes this tricky is that,
while the "shot count" is easy to see as a number,
it’s not actually the shot count that determines the result.
There are three things that really make the difference.
1. Energy setting (joules)
Even with the same 600 shots, if each shot delivers
0.5J versus 1.0J,
the result is completely different.
Low-cost procedures usually set the energy low.
To avoid pain and finish quickly.
2. Accuracy of the actual target depth
Ultherapy devices have
a real-time ultrasound imaging feature.
It lets the practitioner check the screen and confirm
that energy is being delivered to the correct layer,
and if this isn’t used properly,
the shots end up in the wrong layer.
3. Whether the provider is a doctor or not
I always mention this part in advance.
When the cost is extremely low,
there are cases where staff members, not doctors, perform the procedure.
These are gray-area cases under medical law.
In other words, more than the number 600,
it is "with what energy, in what layer, and by whom"
that determines the result.
👨⚕️ Dr. Wiyoungjin’s Field Notes:
Quite a few people come to our clinic saying they’ve had Ultherapy several times elsewhere
but saw no effect.
In my experience, most of them had procedures performed
with energy set far too low.
The frustrating part is that,
because there’s no record left of procedures that had no effect,
there’s no way to verify exactly how much energy was used.
There’s one thing I definitely need to tell you:
Ultherapy
hurts quite a bit when it’s done with proper energy.
If you didn’t feel any pain during the procedure,
you should question whether enough energy was delivered.
Then what is a reasonable Ultherapy cost,
what range is appropriate?
To be honest,
there isn’t a single price you can call the correct answer.
It varies depending on the region, clinic size, and treatment area.
That said, I usually have criteria like this
when I explain it.
What you should check
Whether the clinic director performs the procedure personally
Whether layer confirmation is done with ultrasound imaging before treatment
Whether the energy settings are shared in advance
Whether transducer (probe) consumables are properly managed
Those are the four things.
The downside is the cost ^^..
At a place that meets all of those conditions, for 600 shots,
the reality in Seoul is that prices usually start at around ₩800,000 to ₩1,500,000.
Still, getting it done properly once
is better than getting an ineffective procedure three times.
Key summary
The lower the Ultherapy price, the more carefully you should first check
the energy settings and the practitioner’s qualifications.
If you compare it with Thermage and Shurink,
where should Ultherapy be used?
When you’re considering a lifting procedure,
there are many options besides Ultherapy,
so a lot of people get confused.
A simple comparison looks like this.
Procedure | Main depth of action | Features |
Ultherapy | SMAS layer (fascia) | Corrects sagging, strong lifting effect |
Thermage | Dermis layer | Restores elasticity and volume, improves texture |
Shurink | Dermis to SMAS | More affordable, moderate effect |
It depends on the case, but
for people who actually have sagging, Ultherapy is the right choice,
and for those who feel more like they’ve lost elasticity,
I tend to consider combining it with Thermage.

Frequently asked questions
Q1. Why is the price for Ultherapy 600 shots
so different from place to place?
A. Even with the same shot count, the energy setting and
the accuracy of treatment depth and the practitioner’s qualifications are all different.
In particular, low-cost procedures often lower the energy
to reduce pain, so
the effect may barely appear.
It’s best to check the procedure conditions before the price.
Q2. After an Ultherapy procedure,
when do results start to show?
A. They usually appear gradually between 1 and 3 months after treatment,
and collagen regeneration is typically complete around 6 months.
Many people expect immediate changes right after the procedure,
but Ultherapy is a treatment whose effects appear gradually rather than instantly.
Q3. How often should Ultherapy be done?
A. In most cases, once a year is standard.
For people with more severe sagging or who are older,
an additional treatment after 6 months may be considered,
but that should be decided based on the results of the procedure.
It’s better to decide according to skin condition rather than a fixed schedule.
