Q. Xeomin and Coretox,

they’re both pure toxin products—what’s different?

A. Both are essentially the same in that they are

150kDa pure toxins.

The only difference is the purification method,

so the difference you feel clinically is not very large.

Your muscle response and the price are the key variables.

Q. Then what should I look at when choosing?

A. If you get injections regularly,

look at cost-effectiveness.

Since the performance is similar,

both products are stable enough that

you can decide based on your budget and preferred brand.

Xeomin and Coretox,

it’s not just the name that differs

Xeomin is a pure toxin made by the German company Merz,

and Coretox is a

Korean pure toxin developed by Medytox in Korea.

What the two products have in common is that

they remove the "complexing proteins."

These proteins are known to be the main cause

of neutralizing antibody formation.

In the end, both are designed to reduce concerns

about resistance.

Do onset and duration really differ?

The speed of onset and duration

vary from person to person, but the difference

between the products themselves is clinically very small."

With both products,

the effect begins 3 to 5 days after treatment,

and fully settles in after about 2 weeks.

The duration is also almost the same, averaging 3 to 4 months.

More than the product difference, your muscle thickness or metabolic rate

has a much bigger impact on how long the results last.

In fact, one 31-year-old patient

thought the treatment had failed because there was no change

by week 2,

but saw perfect results by week 4.

Toxin needs time for the nerve signals to fade, so

please wait patiently.

which choice is right for me?

This becomes much clearer when you see it at a glance.

If you’ve been receiving regular toxin injections for a long time

and the effect has started to wear off sooner,

switching to either of these products

can improve satisfaction.

However, even with a pure toxin,

it can be risky if the treatment interval is too short.

Please make sure to keep a minimum interval of 12 to 16 weeks.

However, there may be slight differences in potency between products,

Q2. Is Coretox cheaper than Xeomin because of

its quality?

No, it’s not about quality,

but about the manufacturing location and distribution structure.

Think of it like the price difference between imported cars

and domestic cars.

Because it’s produced in Korea, logistics costs and tariffs are removed,

making it more reasonable.

Q3. Are the side effects or precautions different?

The side effect profile is

almost identical for both products.

Bruising or temporary facial stiffness has more to do

with the injection site than the product itself.

Just follow the common rule of not lying down

for 4 hours after treatment.

If you take away just one thing today,

remember that the difference between Xeomin and Coretox comes down more to

"muscle response" and

"price" than to specifications.
