Comparison & Choices — 4.1 Juvelook vs Rejuran · 4.2 Rejuran HB vs Juvelook Subdermal Injection
To get straight to the point, the Juvelook lineup isn't just for the face. Juvelook Eye has its particle size reduced to 20μm specifically for the delicate eye area, while Juvelook Glam features larger particle sizes and a higher concentration designed for body volume. These two lines are tailored for the most sensitive area (around the eyes) and the largest areas (hips and thighs) respectively.
Specifically for the Eyes — Why Juvelook Eye Reduced Its Particle Size
The eye area is the thinnest, most delicate part of the face. The dermis* thickness is less than half of other areas, with blood vessels and nerves lying very close to the surface. Therefore, using the standard facial line directly in this area quickly increases the risk of nodules (small lumps), vascular side effects, and surface unevenness.
Dermis*: The skin layer rich in collagen and elastin lying just beneath the epidermis. Your skin's thickness and elasticity are almost entirely dependent on the condition of the dermis. Since this dermal layer is much thinner around the eyes than in other areas, treatment requires a higher level of skill.
Juvelook Eye solved this issue through particle size. Its average PDLLA particle size is about 20μm — smaller than Juvelook Skin (about 24μm) or Juvelook Volume (about 40μm). Smaller particles biodegrade faster and are less likely to clump together in one spot. Even when injected into a layer as thin as the eye area, the risk of surface bumpiness is significantly reduced.
According to a clinical study on the efficacy and safety of PDLLA applied to the lower eyelid, PDLLA administered with the proper particle size and injection depth showed excellent collagen stimulation and a very low side effect profile even around the eyes. While the PDLLA breaks down over 4 to 8 weeks, fibroblasts* create fresh new collagen to thicken the dermis — working on the exact same principle as the face line. However, because the quantity and particle size are smaller, the changes appear more gradually and softly.
Fibroblasts*: Cells residing in the dermis that produce collagen and elastin. When these cells are stimulated and activated by PDLLA, new collagen builds up, restoring skin thickness and elasticity.

The Enhancements Juvelook Eye Targets — Dark Circles and Fine Lines
Those seeking treatments around the eyes generally have three major concerns: dark circles, fine wrinkles around the eyes, and under-eye hollows. Juvelook Eye is a dedicated line that targets all three at once.
One major reason dark circles appear is because the skin around the eyes is so thin that the underlying veins and muscles show through. As PDLLA stimulates collagen production and thickens the dermis, the shadow effect is reduced, softening the appearance of dark circles. At the same time, the newly generated collagen helps fill in fine lines and coaxes a subtle volume to ease under-eye hollows.
However, please note that Juvelook Eye cannot resolve all types of dark circles. It has its limitations with pigment-related dark circles (melanin) or deep hollows coming from skeletal structure. While it is highly effective for dark circles, fine lines, and mild hollows caused by dermal thinning and loss of elasticity, a thorough consultation to pinpoint the exact root cause should always come first.

Specifically for the Body — The Role of Juvelook Glam
Juvelook Glam is the most recently released line, designed exclusively for the body. Instead of the face, it is crafted to deliver both collagen stimulation and custom volume to areas like the hips, thighs, arms, and décolletage.
The body has a much broader surface area, and skin thickness varies greatly by region. Using the face-designed line for these areas would require a large volume of product, leading to much longer treatment times. Juvelook Glam addresses this by increasing the PDLLA content per vial and enlarging the particle size to efficiently cover larger areas.
The most popular target areas are hip dips, sagging inner thighs, and loose upper arms. Unlike conventional body fillers that simply fill up space, Glam works as PDLLA stimulates collagen, lifting both the skin's density and its natural elasticity. About 1 to 3 months following the treatment, you can feel the skin becoming visibly smoother and more refined in texture.
Even the consensus guidelines on the proper reconstitution and aesthetic application of PDLLA microparticles note that the PDLLA + HA combined formulation offers excellent collagen-stimulating benefits in body areas beyond the face. Glam is the perfect extension of a mechanism already proven on the face, tailored for the body.

Which Line is Right For Me?
The area of application determines the right line. Here is a simple summary:
Under-eye dark circles / Fine eye wrinkles / Under-eye hollows → Juvelook Eye
Hips / Thighs / Upper arms / Décolletage → Juvelook Glam
Facial volume, texture, and tone → 3 Face Lines (please refer to our previous post)
Many clients choose to receive Juvelook Eye on the same day as other face treatments. For instance, they may receive the original Juvelook or Juvelook Volume for the overall face, and add Juvelook Eye specifically for the eye area. Juvelook Glam is usually scheduled as a separate session, and because it covers a wider area, setting aside some personal recovery time is recommended.
In our upcoming posts, we will dive into how we combine Juvelook with other treatments—such as CureJet, microneedling, and Potenza. How the product is injected often makes a bigger difference in results than the formulation itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Will dark circles completely disappear after receiving Juvelook Eye?
Dark circles caused by thin dermis will visibly soften and brighten. However, pigmentation-related dark circles (melanin) or structural hollows stemming from bone structure require alternative methods. It is highly important to start with a professional consultation to identify the exact cause of your dark circles.
Q. Is Glam effective for cellulite?
Glam is a treatment designed to improve skin thickness and elasticity through collagen stimulation. While it can offer complementary help in smoothing out uneven skin surfaces caused by cellulite, it is not a fat-reduction treatment. If cellulite is your primary concern, combining it with other specialized treatments is recommended.
Q. Can I receive Juvelook Eye and Juvelook Glam on the same day?
Yes, it is possible. However, because Juvelook Glam involves a larger injection volume over a wide body area and requires a bit of recovery time, many clients prefer to split them into separate sessions. We recommend deciding after a personalized consultation with your provider.
