Juvelook Glam Body: What Doctors Won't Tell You
A practicing doctor explains Juvelook Glam side effects and practical management tips
After Juvelook Glam treatment,
the volume that had increased has gone down,
is this a side effect?

"Juvelook Glam,
I got it on my body and loved it, but
it all went down.."
"This is just temporary deflation.
It’s like sowing seeds, so
for the seeds to sprout (collagen production)
please wait 2 more weeks haha"
These days,
because of volume and elasticity concerns,
inquiries about Juvelook Glam are pouring in, but
if you get treated without knowing
the proper precautions, you’re very likely to run into trouble.
Today, I’ll share with clients in the consultation room
exactly what I say about Juvelook Glam’s
'real' effects
without sugarcoating anything.
📌 Key FAQ Before Treatment
Q. Bruising appears after treatment,
is that normal?
Due to the nature of injection areas, bruising is
a natural reaction.
I’ll explain in the main text
how long it usually lasts.
Q. If it feels bumpy,
is it always a nodule?
Not necessarily.
There are criteria to distinguish
normal lumpiness from nodules.
Q. If side effects occur,
can it be dissolved?
Juvelook Glam is PdLLA-based,
so there is no dissolving injection.
The procedure itself is most important.
This is the most important part,
so please read to the end.
1. Juvelook Glam,
how is it different from regular fillers?

Juvelook Glam is a PdLLA-based
biostimulatory filler.
Rather than immediate volume,
it induces collagen production
so the skin naturally
fills out on its own.
The volume right after treatment
is due to moisture (saline).
When the moisture is absorbed after a few days,
it may look deflated again, but
the real effect starts to appear from about
1–3 months later.
Category | Regular Filler (HA) | Juvelook Glam (PLLA) |
Mechanism | Immediate volume filling | Induces collagen production |
Onset of effect | Same day to within a few days | From 1–3 months onward |
Duration | About 6–12 months | Over 2 years (in my experience) |
Side-effect correction | Dissolving injection possible | No dissolving method |
2. Normal reactions
vs how to identify real side effects

✅ Don’t worry!!!
1. Swelling (puffiness)
A reaction to the injection,
usually subsides within 3–7 days.
2. Bruising after treatment
Common in areas with many blood vessels,
and lasts 1–2 weeks.
3. Early lumpiness
What you feel in the beginning
usually resolves naturally.
4. Volume deflation
As saline gets absorbed,
this is a normal process.
⚠️ 'Real side effects'
that need checking
1. Nodule
If even after 2–4 weeks
a hard lump is still palpable
2. Itchy granuloma
Inflammation due to a
foreign-body reaction; steroid treatment is needed.
3. Surface irregularity
When injection is too shallow or dosage control is poor,
causing a bumpy surface
Abnormal redness
If heat and redness
persist for over 1 week, infection risk should be considered
👨⚕️ Director Wi Youngjin’s clinical note
In my experience, nodules occur mainly when injection depth is too shallow,
or when excessive volume is concentrated in one area.
Therefore, precise depth control
is more important than anything else.
Also, for 5 days after treatment,
massage 5 minutes a day is recommended.
If this care is neglected,
particles may clump in one spot.
Massage has a very large impact
on preventing nodules.
3. What to do
if a nodule develops

Juvelook Glam, unlike regular fillers,
has no dissolving medication.
If a nodule occurs,
the realistic management options are as follows.
Steroid injection
Reduces inflammatory response in the nodule area.
5-FU injection
Used together with steroids
to control size.
Laser treatment
Helps improve
surface irregularities of the skin.
Passage of time
Because PLLA is gradually broken down in the body,
in the end, 'time'
can become the greatest treatment.
4. Checklist before and after treatment
to reduce side effects
