Particle size sets how deep each line lands, so one refines pores while another rebuilds sunken cheeks, and a third exists to keep nodule risk low.

Comparison & Choice — 4.1 Juvelook vs Rejuran · 4.2 Rejuran HB vs Juvelook Subdermal Injection
To share a quick summary first, there are three types of Juvelook for the face. Juvelook Original targets the dermis texture and fine wrinkles, Juvelook Volume focuses on restoring volume in sunken areas, and Juvelook Skin addresses skin tone, blemishes, and pores. While all three are based on the same PDLLA + HA formula, their particle size, concentration, and injection depth differ, yielding completely different results.
Juvelook Original — Refining Dermal Texture with 30μm Particles
This is the classic product that launched first and remains the most widely used today. It features an average PDLLA particle size of about 30μm, with one vial containing 42.5mg of PDLLA and 7.5mg of non-crosslinked Hyaluronic Acid (HA)*. This specific combination of concentration and size is beautifully designed to distribute finely throughout the upper and middle layers of the dermis.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA)*: A natural hydrating component already present in our skin. The HA in Juvelook provides immediate hydration and subtle volume right after the procedure, while also acting as a carrier to help the PDLLA particles settle safely into the dermis.
Juvelook Original is not meant for dramatic volumizing. Instead, it shines when improving pores, fine wrinkles, skin texture, and bringing out a soft, radiant glow. Clinical case reports showing that Juvelook improves tear trough depression while demonstrating excellent biocompatibility further support its beneficial action in the dermal layer. The core beauty of this treatment is the natural skin thickening that occurs as collagen builds up over 1 to 3 months.

Juvelook Volume — Filling Deep Layers and Volume with ~40μm Particles
Juvelook Volume uses the same PDLLA + HA formula, but with larger particles and higher concentration. Featuring an average particle size of about 40μm, one vial contains 170mg of PDLLA + 30mg of non-crosslinked HA — which is about 4 times the amount in the Original. Because the particles are larger, it is injected deeper than the dermis, into the subcutaneous layer* or right above the periosteum.
Subcutaneous Layer*: The layer of fat and connective tissue beneath the dermis. This layer shapes the contours and volume of the face; when PDLLA settles here, it stimulates robust collagen production to build a beautiful, structural fullness.
According to the consensus guidelines on the hydration and reconstitution of PDLLA microparticles, standard PDLLA-only products require prep time for hydration 24 hours prior to the procedure. However, since Juvelook Volume contains HA, the hydration time is significantly reduced, allowing for convenient same-day treatments. Being able to use it almost immediately after opening the vial makes a wonderful difference for practitioners.
Clinical research on zygomatic ligament strengthening has also reported successful facial contour lifting where Juvelook Volume was injected into the supraperiosteal plane below the cheekbone. It is increasingly becoming a natural alternative to traditional dermal fillers for areas like sunken temples, flat front cheeks, and deep nasolabial folds.

Juvelook Skin — A Specialized Line for Tone, Blemishes, and Pores
This is the newest addition to the lineup. Added to the signature PDLLA + HA formula are extra active ingredients designed to address skin tone and blemishes simultaneously. The particle size is similar to or slightly smaller than the Original, created to work beautifully in the shallow layers of the dermis.
Rather than a standalone injection, Juvelook Skin is frequently recommended as a skin booster paired with device treatments like Potenza, miconeedling, or CureJet. It is perfectly tailored for those who want to improve prominent pores, dull skin tones, or blemishes, as well as those who wish to experience the collagen-stimulating benefits of PDLLA while minimizing any risk of nodules.
Compared to the Original, this treatment focuses less on physical volume and acts more as a delicate "surface refining" therapy. It is very common for our skilled practitioners to use a combination approach — applying Volume for facial contouring, Original for skin texture, and Skin for overall tone and pores.

Which One is Right for Me?
Your choice will ultimately depend on your areas of concern. Here is a simple guide to help you decide:
Pores / Fine wrinkles / Skin texture / Glow → Juvelook Original
Sunken cheeks / Deep nasolabial folds / Facial contours / Lifting → Juvelook Volume
Tone / Blemishes / Pores / Wanting to minimize nodule risks → Juvelook Skin
If you have multiple concerns, you do not have to settle on just one. It is standard practice to combine different lines for different facial zones during a single visit. Sharing your top one or two concerns during your consultation will help your doctor curate the perfect customized combination for you. In our next post, we will introduce Juvelook Eye for the delicate eye area and Juvelook Glam for body contouring.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I receive all three treatments on the same day?
Yes, treats target different layers and areas of the face, so combining them during a single visit is very common. For example, Volume can be used for deep contours while Original refines skin texture. However, as the total injection volume increases, you may experience slightly more temporary swelling or a longer recovery time.
Q. Is there a specific line with a higher risk of nodules?
Because Juvelook Volume has larger particles and a higher concentration, it carries a relatively higher risk of nodules if injected incorrectly. As this line must be placed deeply and precisely, the skill and experience of your injector is paramount. Conversely, Juvelook Skin has tiny particles, making the risk of nodules exceptionally low.
Q. Does the longevity of the results differ for each line?
Since PDLLA itself naturally degrades over 12 to 24 months, the baseline longevity is similar. However, because Juvelook Volume contains four times the concentration of PDLLA, patients often feel its effects last longer in the treated areas. Generally, Original and Skin results last around 1 year, while Volume is loved for its long-lasting effects of 1.5 to 2 years.
