Type of equipment, operating method,

In reality, there can be several-fold differences.

Q. Do cheaper places

Not always,

but there are clear structural reasons

why the risk can be higher.

should I budget in total?

More than the per-session price,

calculating the total number of sessions is much more important.

1. Tattoo removal cost,

why is it so different?

Honestly, there are few procedures

with as much price variation as tattoo removal.

Clinic A charges 30,000 KRW per session,

while Clinic B charges 200,000 KRW—that’s the reality.

There are three main reasons

for the cost difference.

① Generation gap in equipment

Compared to older devices, 'pico lasers'

have higher ink fragmentation efficiency.

Since the equipment itself is expensive,

the procedure price also goes up.

② Who performs the procedure

Whether the head doctor does it directly,

or a non-medical person does it,

is different legally and in results.

It is a key factor that determines whether scarring occurs.

③ Factory-style operating structure

This is a method of setting a low per-session price

and increasing the number of sessions.

Even if the unit price looks cheap,

you end up paying more overall.

2. Actual costs by

laser type (for reference)

In my experience, places that advertise

as "price per case" often

raise the price during consultation.

3. The total cost is determined by

the 'number of sessions'

Tattoo removal is not

a one-session procedure.

The laser breaks up ink,

and your body needs time to absorb it.

It is usually done at 4–8 week intervals.

If you choose based only on the per-session price,

you miss the total cost.

is the real cost.

Some people come in saying they had dozens of sessions

elsewhere but saw no effect.

When we look at the cause, most of the time

it’s because the energy was set too low.

The ink was barely broken down.

If you increase the energy appropriately,

the pain gets stronger,

but that is proper treatment.

If done properly, the number of sessions

can be reduced dramatically.

4. Low prices,

where do you end up losing out?

The ways to lower prices are obvious.

ㅇUsing old equipment at low energy

ㅇA structure where non-medical personnel perform procedures

ㅇA method of splitting area-based pricing into small parts

Once a scar forms,

Scar treatment costs can exceed

tattoo removal costs.

In the end, I have seen quite a lot of cases

where it became more expensive.

💬 Checklist before consultation

Ask for the equipment name.

Check whether the procedure is done by the head doctor personally.

Ask about the area-based billing method.

If it is a color tattoo, ask about the expected number of sessions.

Check whether the treatment interval is not too short.
