For forehead filler, a product's firmness and the way it's spread across the forehead shape the result more than whether it's Korean or imported. When Korean and imported fillers made for the same depth were compared on opposite sides of the face, wrinkle scores at 26 weeks were nearly identical. The price gap is real, though: on our price list, Korean filler starts at ₩140,000 per cc and imported filler runs ₩290,000 to ₩420,000 per cc.
So the label on the box tells you less than you'd expect. In this article, we'll cover what to compare instead, what the side-by-side studies found, how long results tend to last, the current prices, which warning signs need care right away and how treatment fits a trip to Seoul.
Quick summary
Firmness and the layer it goes into decide a forehead filler result more than Korean or imported origin.
Side by side: at 26 weeks, the score difference between matched Korean and imported fillers in smile lines was 0 and 0.02 points.
Two years after cheek filler, two imported products kept 81% and 66% of their volume, so brands differ even within the imported group.
Vision loss after forehead filler has been reported, so skin color changes or unusual pain need medical care right away.
Korean or Imported Forehead Filler: What Should You Compare?
Compare what depth each product was made for. Within the same family of hyaluronic acid (HA) filler, some products are designed for the middle of the dermis and others for deeper layers. They differ in how firm they are and how much they spread once injected.
That's why I start with the shape of your forehead, not the brand. A forehead that's flat or sunken across its whole width calls for a product that spreads smoothly over a broad area. A dip just above the eyebrows is a smaller, more local fix. I also look at how the forehead sits with your eyebrows, temples and the line of your nose before choosing a product and an amount, because the forehead is read as part of the whole face.
The two products you're offered may also differ in ways a price list doesn't show. Ask which one is firmer and which layer it's meant for. Those two answers make a Korean and an imported quote far easier to compare.

Did Korean Fillers Match Imported Ones Side by Side?
They did, at least for products made for the same depth. Two trials injected a Korean filler on one side of the face and an imported filler on the other, in 115 people with moderate to deep smile lines (nasolabial folds). Raters who didn't know which side got which product scored the wrinkles over 26 weeks.
Pairing | Made for | Score at 26 weeks | Safety and satisfaction |
|---|---|---|---|
Yvoire Classic s (Korean) vs. Restylane (imported) | Mid dermis | 2.56 vs. 2.56 | Similar |
Yvoire Volume s (Korean) vs. Perlane (imported) | Deep dermis | 2.89 vs. 2.91 | Similar |
The scale runs from 1 (no visible fold) to 5 (very deep fold), so a lower score means a softer line. Products matched by depth landed within a few hundredths of a point of each other.
Keep the limits in mind. These trials treated smile lines, not foreheads, and they tested one Korean product family. They don't tell you that every Korean filler performs like every imported one.

How Long Does Forehead Filler Last, Korean or Imported?
How long filler lasts depended more on how the product is built than on where it was made. In a split-face study of people aged 30 to 50, filler was placed in the front of the cheek and its volume was measured with 3D scans for 2 years.
Two imported fillers made as one smooth, evenly linked gel kept 81% and 66% of their 4-week volume at 2 years (Belotero Volume and Juvederm Voluma). Two fillers made as separate particles, the Korean Yvoire Contour and the imported Restylane SubQ, each kept more than half. Even within the imported group, the gap was 15 percentage points, so origin alone doesn't predict how long you'll keep the result. These were cheek measurements, not forehead ones.
Filler is gradually absorbed by the body, so you may need another treatment later to keep the shape you want. How long that takes depends on the filler material and the area where it's injected*. Results differ from person to person.

Forehead Filler Prices: Korean vs. Imported per cc
On our price list, Korean filler starts at ₩140,000 for 1 cc and imported filler runs ₩290,000 to ₩420,000 for 1 cc (VAT excluded, as of September 8, 2026). Our promotion page also lists prices by product name, valid from September 1 to November 30, 2026. All prices are in Korean won, VAT excluded. Seoul clinic pricing, subject to change.
Product on the promotion page | 1 cc | 3 cc | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
Atiere | ₩140,000 | ₩390,000 | Promotion, Sept 1 to Nov 30, 2026 |
Neuramis | ₩210,000 | ₩600,000 | Promotion, Sept 1 to Nov 30, 2026 |
Belotero filler | ₩360,000 | ₩990,000 | Promotion, Sept 1 to Nov 30, 2026 |
Juvederm filler | ₩400,000 | ₩1,170,000 | Promotion, Sept 1 to Nov 30, 2026 |
The forehead is a broad area, so it can take more than 1 cc. How many cc you need is decided after your forehead's shape and the depth of any hollow are checked. The full menu is on the price page, and the current offers are on the promotions page.
When you compare quotes, put the product name and the number of cc side by side, not just the price per cc. A lower per-cc price with more cc can end up costing the same as a pricier product used sparingly.

Forehead Filler Side Effects: Which Signs Need Care Right Away?
Some swelling at the injection points and a dull ache when you press them are normal reactions. The forehead has blood vessels running through it, though, and filler entering a vessel is rare but serious. Vision loss after filler is rare, yet in a review of 48 reported cases of partial or complete vision loss, the forehead was one of the injection sites in 18.8% of them.
Get medical care right away if you notice any of these:
Skin near the injection site turning white (blanching)
Unusual pain
A change in your vision
Signs of a stroke: sudden difficulty speaking, numbness or weakness in your face, arms or legs, difficulty walking, face drooping, severe headache, dizziness or confusion
If your skin changes color or you feel unusual pain, seek medical care immediately. If your vision changes or you notice any sign of a stroke, go to the nearest emergency room. Sending photos to the clinic doesn't replace that care.
It's better to hold off on filler in these cases:
The skin where filler would go is inflamed or infected
You have a bleeding disorder
You have severe allergies or a history of anaphylaxis, or allergies to collagen, animal products, lidocaine or bacteria-derived materials

Fitting Forehead Filler Into a Trip to Seoul
Unless you had sedation that day, there's no need to postpone your flight because of forehead filler. Plan photos and sightseeing around the swelling at the injection points.
Filler is one of the treatments that changes your shape the same day, so one visit shows you the new outline. Most other treatments work gradually and bring your face closer to how it used to look rather than changing it all at once. Some people prefer a smaller amount first and decide on more after the swelling settles, which is worth planning into your dates.
Once you're home, you can send the clinic photos if you have questions about how the forehead is settling. If you notice any of the warning signs above, see a local doctor or go to an emergency room first rather than waiting for a reply.
The Bottom Line: Ask Which Firmness Your Forehead Needs
Before you choose between a Korean and an imported quote, ask: is this product made for the mid dermis or a deeper layer, and how firm is it? Then check that each quote names the product and the number of cc. With those three details, two quotes with very different per-cc prices become easy to compare.
If you're considering forehead filler, a consultation is where you can find out which firmness and amount suit your forehead. Beautystone is a clinic in Seoul's Hapjeong area, and you can reach us through the consultation button on this page. In your first message, include a front photo and a side photo of your forehead, the name and date of any filler you've had before and your dates in Seoul.
