On the clinic's price list, 600 shots of Ultherapy PRIME cost ₩2,890,000 (VAT not included), and men pay the same as women. What changes for men is where those shots go. A man's treatment often covers the jawline, the area under the chin, and the upper neck, so the same 600 shots get spread thinner. For a man's full face and upper neck, Korean doctors have suggested 600 to 800 shots.

In this article, we'll cover the price, how many shots a man's face may need, how those shots are split by area and depth, and what to check on your quote.

Quick summary

  • 600 shots of Ultherapy cost ₩2,890,000 (VAT not included) for men, and the first thing to settle is where the shots go.

  • Shot benchmark: for a man's full face and upper neck, the suggested range starts at 600 shots and goes up to 800.

  • Most comparison photos were taken about 3 months after a single session.

  • Redness, swelling, and pain tended to settle within about 2-3 days.

How Much Do 600 Shots of Ultherapy Cost for Men?

The price list shows 600 shots of Ultherapy at ₩2,890,000. That figure doesn't include VAT, and the list is dated September 8, 2026. Prices aren't split by gender, so men start from the same number.

The list has only one tier: 600 shots. A plan with more than 600 shots isn't on the list, so that price is confirmed separately at your consultation. This is Seoul clinic pricing, subject to change. You can see other prices on the price page.

A doctor checking skin layers on the ultrasound screen before setting the shot count for a man's face

How Many Ultherapy Shots Does a Man's Face Need?

If you're treating your full face plus the upper neck, think of 600 shots as the starting point. Korean doctors who used the same approach on 2,000 men suggested at least 600 shots at energy level 2, and up to 800. That suggestion comes from their experience, with no comparison group, so it's a planning guide rather than a promise of results.

At your visit, the doctor first looks at the balance of your whole face and the height of your jawline on each side. Then the layers are checked on the ultrasound screen to decide where each shot goes. If the sagging sits mostly on one side of the jaw, the plan can shift more of the 600 shots toward the lower face. How much you see depends on your skin.

Where Do 600 Shots Go on a Man's Face, and How Deep?

On a man's face, more shots typically go to the lower and middle face. The side of the area under the chin and the upper neck are treated to tighten the area just below the jawbone, which helps with a double chin and a sharper jawline. The outer cheek is treated when the face looks wide, and the center of the forehead and the outer brow when the brows have dropped.

Depth changes too. For men, the suggestion is to focus on the deeper layers rather than the skin surface: the SMAS* at 4.5 mm and the fibrous tissue just above it at 3.0 mm. One 43-year-old man in the paper had 715 shots in total across the middle face, lower face, and under the chin. Of those, 335 went to 4.5 mm and 380 went to 3.0 mm.

*SMAS: a thin layer of tissue that wraps the facial muscles. It's the main layer lifting treatments aim to tighten.

That's one person's plan, so it isn't copied onto everyone. If thinning skin bothers you more than sagging, shots can be added to the shallower dermis as well. Results differ from person to person.

Normal redness and swelling after Ultherapy compared with signs that need a call

Ultherapy Side Effects in Men: What Passes and What Needs a Call

Redness, swelling, pain, and tenderness when pressed are common and tended to clear within about 2-3 days. Some people also get light bruising. A review that pooled 42 studies found the same common reactions, redness, swelling, bruising, and tenderness, and they were mild to moderate.

Men with a thick beard have one more thing to watch. Small shaving cuts under the chin can get irritated during treatment. After treatment, keep an eye out for inflamed hair follicles (folliculitis).

Don't wait it out if you notice any of these. Contact the clinic right away:

  • One corner of your mouth or one eyelid droops, or you can't move it normally

  • A numb or dull patch that isn't shrinking after several days

  • Blisters, burn marks, or a patch of skin that has turned white

  • Pus or heat around the hair follicles under your chin

Rarely, fat loss that leaves a hollow, nerve damage, numbness, and scarring have also been reported. These were the most common items among 106 reports in a US database of medical device problem reports. If anything gets worse or spreads, contact your provider right away.

Taking a same-angle side-profile photo at home to send to the clinic after the trip

Planning Ultherapy Around a Trip to Seoul

Unless you had sedation that day, there's no need to postpone your flight home after Ultherapy. For trip photos, swelling is barely noticeable at around 300 shots. 600 shots cover a wider area, so if you have a big photo day planned, mention it ahead of time and the timing is easier to work out.

Ultherapy doesn't change your face dramatically in one visit. Changes tend to build gradually over time. Once you're home, you can send photos to the clinic's consultation chat with your questions. If you have a serious problem, see a local doctor first.

Fly home as planned, send photos later

The Bottom Line: What a 600-Shot Quote Should Spell Out

When you get a 600-shot quote, check that it spells out three things: how many shots go to each area, how many go to each depth (4.5 mm, 3.0 mm, and 1.5 mm), and whether the upper neck is included. On a man's face, if the area under the chin and the upper neck are left out, the jawline side can end up with fewer shots than you expected.

About 3 months after treatment, take a side-profile photo in the same light and at the same angle as before. It makes the next plan much easier to decide. Before you book, ask "How many of my 600 shots go to my jawline and under my chin, and at what depth?" That one answer makes quotes easier to compare.
