How Much of Your Face Does 2cc of Belotero Revive Cover?

A 2cc session is about 1cc per lower cheek. In a study that split 159 people into two groups, Revive was placed in the middle to deep layer of the dermis as tiny 0.05cc drops set 1 cm apart, with up to 20 points on each cheek. It's a very small amount spread densely, so don't picture it as enough product to fill out the whole face.

Belotero Revive is a thin, soft hyaluronic acid gel with glycerol added. It isn't used to build volume. It's placed in the skin to work on hydration and texture.

How Many Revive Sessions Do You Start With, and What's the Total?

A first plan is usually 3 sessions, 4 weeks apart. In the 159-person study, the 3-session group got up to 2cc on day 1, at 4 weeks and at 8 weeks, while the single-session group got up to 3cc once. Doctors rated 90.7% of the 3-session group as improved at 12 weeks, versus 74.6% of the single-session group at 4 weeks, and satisfaction was higher in the 3-session group.

Revive doesn't change your skin in a single visit. In dry and very dry skin, hydration readings rose clearly by 16 weeks after the first injection, which means the change took more than three months to show. Individual results vary, so ask for your first quote as a 3-session total rather than a one-session price.

Belotero Revive Side Effects: What Fades and What Needs Care Now

Bruising is the most common reaction after Revive. In the 159-person study, 47.2% had bruising and 6.3% had swelling, and most of it cleared within 15 days. Reactions were mostly mild, and there were no serious adverse events.

Revive is a hyaluronic acid injection in the same family as fillers, so it's worth knowing the general warning signs of a blocked blood vessel. The U.S. FDA advises getting medical help right away if any of the signs below appear. Its guidance covers dermal fillers in general, not Revive specifically.

Maintenance sessions are decided after the first 3, based on whether dryness returns. We couldn't find a study that sets a maintenance interval. In the 3-session group, hydration started to drop around 32 weeks after the first injection, yet it stayed above the starting level through 44 weeks.

Buying maintenance sessions in advance can leave you paying for ones you don't need. For a first-year budget, plan the 3-session total first, then add maintenance only after you've seen how your skin holds up.

It's better to postpone treatment, or tell your provider first, if any of these apply:

• Inflammation or infection in the skin to be injected

• A condition that makes you bleed easily

• A history of severe allergy or anaphylaxis

• An allergy to lidocaine

When you get a quote, check that it lists how many cc per session, how many sessions at how many weeks apart, and whether any add-on care is included. If a line is missing, that's the first thing to ask about.

Apart from a day when you've had sedation (sleep anesthesia), there's no need to postpone your flight home because of a Revive session.

It also helps to know what one visit can do. Some treatments, like fillers, change your shape the same day. Most others, Revive included, don't transform things in one go; they bring your skin gradually closer to how it used to be. One visit also doesn't replace the planned 3 sessions. Results differ from person to person.
