JuveLook Nodules,
Things I Learned After Experiencing It 3 Years Ago

Hello.
I’m Lee Youngjin from Beautystone Clinic.
In fact, this story began before we officially introduced the product,
when I personally performed the procedure on our manager,
and a small nodule developed.
Before bringing in a new product, our clinic
always has me, Director Kim Ga-eul, and our managers receive the demo first.
Our basic rule is that
we have to experience it ourselves before recommending it to patients.
It was the same with JuveLook.
Everyone tried it themselves to see how it felt and what the procedure was like.
But as the procedure went on,
the particles unique to JuveLook got stuck in the needle,
causing it to clog from time to time.
At first, I brushed it off as a minor inconvenience that could happen during a procedure,
but it eventually became a problem. A nodule formed on the manager.
That was when it started.
I thought, 'We can't just keep using this as is; we need to find a solution.'
So I began seriously looking for a way to address it.
"After getting JuveLook,
I feel like a lump has formed"
is the kind of concern I’m talking about.
More people than you’d expect
send me
messages like this.

A few days after the procedure,
something may be
felt under the skin.
Or some people
say it feels
bumpy.
They say they can't tell
whether it's a real nodule
or just temporary swelling.
This time,
we’re going to take a deep dive into
JuveLook nodules.
From why they happen
to how you should respond,
I’ll organize everything for you in one place.
JuveLook nodules,
what are they exactly?

JuveLook is an injectable formulation containing
PDRN and HA (hyaluronic acid).
It helps with skin regeneration,
and the important point here is
that it contains HA.
Hyaluronic acid has a strong
ability to draw in
surrounding moisture.
If it stays pooled under the skin and
absorbs moisture, it can become locally
raised and clumped together.
That’s what makes it feel
like a nodule in our hands.
To classify it accurately,
there are two main situations
we can divide it into.
1. Early nodule
Occurs within a few days after the procedure,
and is usually due to
injection depth or volume issues.
2. Delayed nodule
Appears weeks to months later,
and involves inflammation or
an immune response.
These two have different causes,
and the way to handle them
is completely different.
Why do nodules form?

To be honest,
the causes of nodules
aren’t just one simple thing.
Based on the cases I personally
encounter in the clinic,
I’ll organize them for you.
1. Injection depth problem
It needs to be injected
accurately into the dermis,
but if it’s too shallow, it clumps.
2. Excessive injection in one area
If too much is injected into one point,
that area
clumps locally.
3. Individual skin differences
Some skin types react
especially sensitively
to hyaluronic acid.
4. Pressure or friction after the procedure
If you press hard or
massage too aggressively right after the procedure,
it can shift to one side.
How can you tell whether it’s a nodule or not?
Swelling or clumping within 1 to 3 days
after the procedure is usually
not a nodule.
It is likely a temporary effect
where hyaluronic acid draws in moisture
and makes the area look raised.
So I give patients
these criteria.
1. Even after 2 weeks,
a palpable lump
is still there.
2. It hurts when pressed,,
and redness
is accompanied by the symptom.
3. The surface looks uneven
or it is noticeable
even to the naked eye in the mirror.
If even one of these three applies,
you should definitely
get it checked at a clinic.
What to do if a nodule develops

Just because a nodule forms
does not mean there is
necessarily a big problem.
In the case of a non-inflammatory nodule,
you can inject a dissolving enzyme
to resolve it quickly.
In the case of an inflammatory nodule,
antibiotics or
steroid injections may be needed.
Never try to squeeze it yourself
or massage it hard.
It will only spread the symptoms.
For reference, the dissolving enzyme
does not affect the PDRN
ingredient.
If you’re worried about the regenerative effect,
you can rest assured
about this part.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. It’s been 3 days since the injection, and it’s clumping.
In the early stage,
it is very likely to be swelling.
Please watch it for about 2 weeks.
Q. If it’s dissolved, does that mean it won’t work anymore?
The HA may decrease,
but the PDRN remains
and continues to provide its effect.
Q. Is there a way to prevent it?
The injector’s experience is important,
and you should avoid vigorous exercise
or saunas on the day of treatment.
The right answer is to consult thoroughly before the procedure
and decide on the amount
that’s right for you.
