So the same device can carry very different totals, depending on what's done alongside it and how many visits you book. Why Does the Secret RF Price Differ by Line Item?

The per-session price changes with what's bundled into it. A Secret RF session on its own is the base unit. Add subcision for scars, or pair it with other treatments, and the price per visit goes up.

Secret RF is a microneedle radiofrequency (RF) device. Very fine needles enter the skin and release heat at their tips, inside the dermis*. That heat prompts the skin to rebuild collagen gradually, which is why the changes show up over weeks rather than overnight.

*Dermis: the layer under the surface skin that gives skin its firmness and bounce.

When you compare quotes from different clinics, don't start with the single-session number. Start with what's inside it. A lower figure that leaves out subcision isn't the same treatment as a higher one that includes it.

How Many Secret RF Sessions Do Pores Need?

Plan on more than one. A single session rarely makes a visible difference to enlarged pores, so I talk through a multi-session plan at the first visit.

In a study of 75 patients treated for enlarged pores with microneedle RF, the share who improved noticeably after one session was 13.8% on the nose, 8.9% on the forehead and 11.1% on the cheeks. The share rose as patients had more sessions. Keep in mind that this was a different device using the same method, not Secret RF itself, so those numbers are a reference point rather than a promise. Individual results vary.

Spacing matters, too. If sessions are too close together, the next round of heat goes in before redness and swelling have settled. If they're spread too far apart, it's harder to build on the change the previous session started. I set the interval by watching how quickly your skin recovers after the first one.

Why Add Subcision for Pitted Acne Scars?

Some pitted scars sit low because their base is tethered to the tissue underneath by fibrous bands. RF heat alone doesn't cut those bands. Subcision does: a needle or a blunt-tipped tube (cannula) slides under the scar and releases the bands, giving the base room to lift.

That's the logic behind the 3-session scar package. In one study, 25 people with moderate to severe acne scars had subcision on one side of the face only. Two weeks later, both sides received microneedle RF, 3 times at 4-week intervals. The side that also had subcision scored better on both the doctors' assessment and the patients' own satisfaction. It was a small study with a different RF device, and how much you see depends on your scars.

Secret RF Price List: Single Session vs. Scar Package

Here are the current numbers. The single-session price comes from our price list (as of September 8, 2026). The subcision sessions are promotion prices valid from September 1 to November 30, 2026. All are in Korean won, VAT excluded. Seoul clinic pricing, subject to change.

The 3-session package costs less than booking three single subcision sessions. If your scars cover most of the face, there are also full-face scar packages that combine Secret RF with other treatments. Those are listed on the current promotions page, and the full menu is on the price page.

A quick rule of thumb: a handful of scars may only need the subcision course, while widespread scarring is where it makes sense to compare the combination packages.

Secret RF Side Effects and Downtime: What Is Normal?

Stinging, redness and swelling right after Secret RF are common and expected. Temporary pain, redness and swelling are the usual reactions, and some people develop small acne-like bumps. Subcision can add bruising where the needle or cannula passed.

Don't wait it out if you notice any of these. Contact your provider right away:

• Blisters, oozing or pus at the treated spots

• Heat and pain that keep getting worse after a few days

• Spots turning darker brown as the redness fades (post-inflammatory pigmentation)

Fitting Secret RF Into a Trip to Seoul

Unless you had sedation that day, there's no need to postpone your flight because of Secret RF. Plan your sightseeing around the redness and swelling described above.

It also helps to know what one visit can do. Some treatments, such as filler, change your shape the same day. Most others, Secret RF included, work gradually and bring your skin closer to how it used to look rather than changing it all at once. One visit doesn't replace a planned course. Because scar sessions are spaced weeks apart, a 3-session package usually means coming back more than once.

Once you're home, you can send the clinic photos if you have questions about how your skin is settling. If something changes sharply, such as spreading redness, fever or worsening pain, see a local doctor first rather than waiting for a reply.

The Bottom Line: What to Check on a Secret RF Quote

When I look at your skin, I start with what the main concern really is: enlarged pores, or pitted scars, and if scars, how many and what shape. Then check that your quote spells out three things: whether subcision is included, how many sessions and how many weeks apart, and which area of the face is covered. If one of those is missing, ask before you compare totals.
