Ultherapy Price: 'Cheap = Bad' Is Half True
Ultherapy Price: 'Cheap = Bad' Is Half True
Ultherapy Price: 'Cheap = Bad' Is Half True
Ultherapy prices vary by shot count, cartridges, and technique. Cheap isn't bad, pricey isn't best.

Ultherapy pricing,
the saying that cheap things are poor quality is only half true
Check this before you read
Q. Ultherapy for 1 million won,
are they using a fake machine?
A. Not necessarily. Even with a genuine device, if they reduce the number of shots and the
cartridge configuration, that price is possible.
The problem is not a 'cheap machine' but 'shooting fewer shots.'
Q. Then is expensive always better?
A. Not necessarily. Even at 3 million won,
if it’s overdone by inexperienced hands,
it can actually flatten the volume.
If you go around researching Ultherapy,
your head will probably hurt a bit.
It’s the same procedure name, but one place charges 890,000 won,
while another charges 3.2 million won.
Because the difference is more than threefold,
you end up wondering, "Is this really the same procedure?"
Honestly, the machine is the same.
What’s different is elsewhere.

So what exactly is different?
Ultherapy is a lifting treatment that uses high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)
to apply heat to the deep layers of the skin
and stimulate collagen regeneration.
Ultherapy uses a DS (Deep See) feature
that lets you visually confirm where the heat is delivered.
That’s why it is highly accurate,
and why the device and cartridge costs are high as well.

Why does the price differ so much from clinic to clinic?
"Why is Ultherapy pricing different at each clinic?
The decisive difference between 1 million won and 3 million won."
— Dr. Wi Youngjin (Hongdae Beautystone Clinic)
Here’s the key.
The difference in Ultherapy pricing is not the 'machine'
but the difference in 'number of shots + cartridge configuration + the person doing the treatment.'
A patient in her 40s who visited last month said she had Ultherapy for 990,000 won
but felt there was no effect at all.
Upon checking, they had only delivered 300 shots to the entire face.
For Ultherapy, usually 600 to 800 shots are needed for a full face
to get proper results.
Ultherapy targets different layers depending on depth, such as 1.5 mm, 3.0 mm, and 4.5 mm.
For a proper lifting treatment, all three depths
should be treated layer by layer, but low-cost promotions
often use only one type of cartridge.
The machine may be genuine Ultherapy,
but the effect is only half there.
Director Wi Youngjin's key takeaway
When consulting about Ultherapy, before price
there are two things you should ask first.
"How many shots in total?" "How many types of cartridges are used?"
If those two are the same, the price has to be similar.
Only then can you make an accurate comparison.
Recommended setup guide by skin type
Type | Recommended setup | Approx. price range |
Early 30s, preventive | 3.0/4.5 mm, 300~400 shots | Around 1 million won |
Late 30s~40s, sagging begins | 1.5/3.0/4.5 mm, 600 shots | 1.8~2.2 million won |
Late 40s+, deeper sagging | Full face + neck, 800~1000 shots | 2.5~3.2 million won |
Just because you shoot more shots indiscriminately
doesn’t mean the effect increases proportionally.
If you have thin cheek fat, too many shots can
actually flatten the volume and make you look older.
That’s why as important as shot count is
"where and how they are distributed."
The three questions we get most often in the exam room
Q1. If it’s too cheap, is it a fake machine?
Most are genuine.
The reason it’s cheap is a difference in setup, such as reducing shot count
or using only one type of cartridge.
Q2. How long does Ultherapy last?
When the proper dose is used,
it usually lasts 12 to 18 months.
Low-dose treatments often don’t even last 6 months.
Q3. Are there no side effects?
I heard about nerve damage.
Ultherapy is a deep treatment,
so if the provider lacks experience, it can irritate nerves.
It’s safer to receive it from a doctor with enough experience,
and check this first rather than the price.
If anything is confusing,
I’ll show you directly in the treatment room and explain it.
This has been Wi Youngjin.

Why is the 1064nm laser less effective for spots but stronger for melasma and tattoos? Here’s a clear summary of the trade-off between wavelength depth and absorption, and why dual toning is needed.

Xeomin Side Effects: Shared Exactly as Often as They’re Seen in the Clinic Over One Week
Xeomin side effects are not zero. Headaches occur in about 5–10%, and eyelid drooping in less than 1%. Because it contains no complexing proteins, allergic reactions are about half as common as with Botox, along with the frequency we’ve actually seen in the clinic and how we manage them.
